Pre-order & Founding Batch Terms
Crantaiger is a new company building its first boot. We would rather explain exactly how this works than have you find out later. Read this before you reserve or order.
1. What stage the product is at
Keystone is in final sample validation. The final wear-test sample has not yet been approved for production. Until it is approved, we do not publish sizing recommendations, comfort claims, weights, measurements or shipping dates — not because we are being vague, but because we do not yet have the evidence, and we are not willing to invent it.
2. Two different things you may be signing up for
(a) Reservation / waitlist — free. You give us your email and your size. No payment is taken. No obligation on either side. You get first access when the Founding Batch opens, and the production updates in between. You can leave at any time.
(b) Founding Batch pre-order — paid. This opens only after the final sample is approved. At that point you place a real order for a specific size at the published price. Founding Batch 001 is 200 pairs.
3. Deposits
If we run the Founding Batch as a deposit structure, the deposit is $[DEPOSIT AMOUNT — TBD] and it is fully refundable until the balance is charged. The remaining balance is collected only after all three of the following are true:
- the final sample has passed wear testing;
- production has been confirmed with the factory;
- a realistic shipping window has been set and communicated to you in writing.
You will be told before any balance is charged. We will not charge a balance on a product we cannot yet ship.
4. Shipping windows, and what happens if we are late
We will not publish a shipping date until there is a production basis for it. When we do publish one, it is an estimated window, and boots are made by people in a factory — windows move.
If we cannot ship within the window we gave you, we will contact you, tell you the new window and the reason, and offer you the choice between waiting or a full refund. You will not have to chase us for it. This also reflects our obligations under the US FTC Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule.
5. If the product does not pass validation
If the final sample fails and we decide the boot is not good enough to ship, we will say so publicly, refund every deposit in full, and keep developing the product. We would rather lose the launch than ship a boot we do not stand behind.
6. Cancelling
You can cancel a reservation or a deposit pre-order at any time before it ships, by replying to any email from us or writing to [CONTACT EMAIL — TBD]. Refunds go back to the original payment method. See our Cancellation Policy and Refund Policy.
7. What we will and will not claim
Until testing is complete, we will not describe this boot as waterproof, slip-resistant, all-day comfortable, orthopaedic, true to size, or extremely durable. When we have measured something, we publish the measurement and how we got it.
