The Build
This is where we show the work: the factory floor, the samples, and every revision in between. No renders. No stock photos. If a boot in a picture here doesn't exist yet, we say so.
Where we are right now
We are building a single soft-toe Daily Duty Boot. Not a collection — one boot, solved properly, before we add anything else.
- Sampling. We are on our second round of physical samples. Round one taught us more about what was wrong than what was right, which is what round one is for.
- Fit and sizing. We are working through last dimensions, internal volume, flex point, and heel hold. Sizing is the single hardest thing to get right in a boot, and the easiest thing to fake on a website. We are not going to fake it.
- Outsole. Still being decided. We are comparing options side by side on real samples rather than picking one because it sounds good in a spec list.
What we won't publish yet
You will not find a specification table on this site right now. Not because we don't have opinions about materials and construction — we have a lot of them — but because a spec printed before it has been tested is just marketing.
When we can put a number on something, we will publish the number and how we got it. That includes the results we didn't like.
