Why we're asking you
We asked more than 300 workers one question: if you wear boots 8–12 hours a day, what starts bothering you first? Most of the answers came from people who stand in one place — factories, warehouses, machine shops.
The people who work out of a vehicle said the least. Field techs, service techs, installers. Your day is different: pedals and running boards, ladders, customer floors, parking lots, crawlspaces, and back in the seat again. We don't want to guess what that does to a boot. We want to hear it from you.
What we heard fails first
- Standing, not walking. "Walking's fine, my feet hate standing."
- Nothing underfoot. "Every boot company skimps on the insoles."
- Heavy by the afternoon. "They get heavy after a long day… catch my toe on steps."
- Heat. "If I want boots that trap heat and water I'll just wear rubber boots."

What we're testing
Not a spec sheet. How the boot feels out of the box. How long it takes to break in. How your feet feel at hour eight, after the tenth time in and out of the truck. Whether the weight shows up after lunch. You can follow the samples on The Build.
Fit starts at the last. We measure it, mark it, and change it when real feet say we got it wrong.
